Entry Formalities
A visitor is required to obtain a visa at any of the Myanmar
Missions abroad. A Tourist Visa allows the visitor to stay 28
days. Those who have Business Visas can st ay
in the country up to 10 weeks, extendible on a case-by-case basis.
Visa on arrival is granted on prior arrangement for special cases
and package tours.
Overland entry is permitted for Chinese tourists with border
pass at Lweje, Nam Kham, Muse, Kyukoke, Kwanlong, Mong Lar along
Myanmar-China border. For Thai tourists with border pass and for
tourists from the third country with visa at Tachilek, Three Pagoda
Pass, Myawaddy and Kawthaung check points along Myanmar-Thai border.
Entry Procedure (Airport)

Show your passport, entry-visa, disembarkation
card and other relevant documents to the the immigration officer
(Please check the rows... First category is for citizens of
ASEAN countries, the second is for Myanmar citizens and the
third is for Foreigners). |

Exchange US $ 200 into F.E.C. at the counter of Myanmar
Foreign Trade Bank after passing the immigration counter.

Then go to the customs counter and, if anything to declare,
hand over your declaration form at the customs counter. |

Declare, if any, electrical goods/ camera / jewellary and
foreign currencies at the customs counter. |

2.Pound Sterling(¡ê),Euro(€)and other major foreign currencies.
